SOULED OUT 17 by Elin
It was a pleasure to go back to Bala again this year for Souled Out. I’d been looking forward to it for weeks and I was expectant to see what God wanted to show and teach me. It was wonderful to come together with so many young Christians and enjoy each other’s company whilst sharing, worshipping, creating and relaxing.
As well as sessions and seminars, there are always lots of activities available for us throughout the week and we were not disappointed this year! To name some of them: giant inflatables, Flip Out and food in Chester, fun team games and Colour Chaos as well as football and crafts. There was no chance for anyone to get bored!
We had sessions every morning and evening, and the theme of the week was ‘Jesus is enough’. I loved it because it was a theme that could be relevant to everyone in some way. We were able to learn from and be challenged by a variety of speakers and I was greatly blessed.
The seminars were also very beneficial, especially one led by Chloe Richards about how to share Jesus with our friends. She had a number of valuable tips on how to do this in a natural and honest way.
It was a great week, with God obviously at work. I would recommend Souled Out to everyone, no matter where you are on your journey of faith. It’s a great way to get to know God better, to experience his love deeper, spend time in fellowship with other Christians, and explore all kinds of questions about faith. I’m already counting the days until next summer!
