LIVE AND TELL by Caroline
I attended Live and Tell with my friend Abbie. The purpose of the day was to encourage and equip those present to live out our faith from day to day and to tell our friends about Jesus in a normal and effective way. I’d been to a Souled Out event only once before and Abbie had never been before, so it was a bit of a new experience for both of us. Thankfully people could not have been more welcoming and we had a really happy day catching up with old friends and meeting new people. We enjoyed the time of worship of course and the lunch and ‘pick n mix’ sweetie table were great, but our main reason for going was to listen to the talks and they did not disappoint.
Mike Adams spoke of 5 principles and 5 attitudes we can use to share Jesus with our non-Christian friends. Dai Hankey was, well, Dai! Full of energy and really inspiring! But for me the highlight was the Alpha Lab seminar led by Chloe Richards. I had no idea that the Alpha Course had been re-made in a more modern style and was available for free on YouTube. Chloe showed us some clips and I was pleasantly surprised with how good it looked. She also told us how versatile it was, with stories of people using it, for just a few minutes with their Sports Club or at a Coffee Morning. You can buy generic viagra uk here.
Abbie and I were both really inspired to look again at Alpha as a resource and as a way of putting into practice the things we heard at Live and Tell, we plan to run Alpha in our pastorate this Autumn.
