SOULED OUT REUNION by Ria

It was great to come back to Bala to see old friends and make some new ones. I’ve been to several Souled Out Reunions by now and it was another great weekend, with lots of fun to be had. The theme of the weekend was ‘Life in all its fullness’ taken from Jesus’ words in John 10. The sessions with the main speakers were challenging but relevant as we all thought about how we live our lives as Christians. As we then thought of returning home to our various communities across Wales, the sessions also challenged us to intentionally live for Jesus and to honour him with every part of our lives.

One of the highlights of the weekend for me was the small groups and seminars. It was good to discuss the teaching and respond to the sessions without any pressure, with everyone being open about what we had learnt. The weekend was also fun with lots of activities available in a short space of time. There was the opportunity to take part in a quiz, be creative in the craft time, play football and enjoy delicious crêpes in the Coleg Café. There was also a silent disco with UV paint and this was a big highlight for many with the added treat of having a slushie at the same time – (hopefully the slushie’s will be back in Souled Out this summer!) I was really blessed by the Souled Out Reunion and I’m looking forward to the next one. If you have the opportunity to come to the Reunion or any other Souled Out event throughout the year, it’s a great opportunity to make new friends and get to know Jesus better. I would encourage anyone to come!
